Year 11 Results Day 2023
Back
I am really proud of our Year 11 students, says Principal
There was a fantastic atmosphere at Homewood School & Sixth Form Centre as Year 11 students collected their GCSE and Level 2 results and met with staff to celebrate their achievements.
Principal Jeremy Single said: “I am really proud of our Year 11 students who have had such a disruptive schooling experience in the run up to their examinations. They were in Year 8 when the pandemic hit which resulted in school closures in that year and the next, and further disruption to the start of Year 10. They have overcome many challenges and faced the added uncertainty of this year’s tougher grade boundaries in England. It was therefore such a huge pleasure to be able to offer Year 11 students our congratulations, as well as helping them confirm their future pathways; for the majority, this will be joining Homewood’s very successful Sixth Form Centre.”
“I am so very proud of all of the students’ achievements and very grateful to our staff for the hard work they have put in to achieve these results. I wish all of our Year 11 students the very best of luck for their future studies. I would also like to thank the students’ parents and carers once again for their continued support of the school.”
Amongst the top performers were: Martha, Sen, Eloise, Sophie, Katie and Amber who achieved the highest overall average point scores within the cohort. The highest number of grade 9s was achieved by Martha with seven in total. While so many students achieved the highest grades, recognition must be given to those students who performed well above their target grades and those students with SEND.
