Assistant Facilities Manager

Salary: Site Team Scale 4, Points 18-22, £24,982- £27,041

39 hours per week

We are looking to appoint an Assistant Facilities Manager to assist in the day to day management of facilities across the Trust’s sites.  The role will include security, caretaking, and the maintenance of premises. 

The successful candidate will work with a professional, can do and proactive approach having had supervisory or management experience. They will be someone who takes pride in providing an environment which is safe, healthy, clean, and secure for our pupils, staff and visitors. They will also be highly effective and thrive in a varied role where no day is the same.

Previous school experience is desirable, as is Health and Safety and Building compliance knowledge.

Relevant trade experience such as carpentry or building is a key advantage.

IT Technician Apprentice

IT Technician Apprentice

37 hours per week

Salary £8295 pa (£4.30 per hour)

We wish to appoint a highly motivated and forward thinking individual to train with us to provide first line technical support to Staff and Students both face to face and via remote.  Working within a busy support environment you will be part of our team dealing with technical issues raised through our central Helpdesk and escalate tickets to the Network Manager and the Trust IT Lead when required.

You will need to have good people skills, and have an interest in developing your knowledge of Microsoft and Google products.  You will learn to be proficient at hardware troubleshooting, configuration and repair skills and gain experience working in a medium to large network environment.  Skills required include experience of providing customer service, analytical and problem solving skills and confidence in communicating with people.  You will need to be reliable, creative, able to learn new skills quickly and be able to work as part of a team. GCSEs in Maths and English are required and GCSE ICT/Computer Science would be advantageous.

You will be required to attend college to complete an Apprenticeship, one day per week. You will receive on the job training and support that will lead to experience of maintaining and supporting a busy working environment. The challenges you will face and experience you will receive will enable the successful applicant to pursue a career in IT.

Higher Level Teaching Assistant KS3 English - 32.5 Hours per Week

You will be using your skills to provide support to targeted individuals, small groups and classes during KS3 English lessons.

Salary: NJC Scale 4/5 Points 7-17 pro rata to £15,047 to £18,341

Initial Fixed term contract for one academic year

The successful candidate will be part of our Learning Support team working with students who experience difficulties in accessing the curriculum.

The objective of this post is to provide support to targeted individual students, small groups and classes during Key Stage 3 English lessons.  The needs of the students will vary; some will have special educational needs such as Dyslexia or ASD.

The appointed HLTA would generally work with small groups of students, within the main classroom, to ensure students’ progress and to boost their confidence. The role will involve planning, preparing and delivering group work or team teaching with the main class teacher.  The successful candidate will also be expected to deliver interventions to targeted students focusing on pre and post teaching of Key Stage English set texts, exam skills and vocabulary.

As with all HLTAs the post holder will be expected to progress students’ learning and with other professionals to support pupils’ social, emotional and physical wellbeing.  It is necessary for the candidate to have qualifications in Maths/Numeracy or English/Literacy equivalent to at least NVQ Level 2. A Level 5 Dyslexia qualification, an HLTA qualification or evidence of working at this level would be advantageous.

Learning Support Assistant - 28 hours per week

Fixed Term Contract initially to July 2022

Salary: NJC Scale 2/3 Points 3-6, 28 hours per week, term time only

We are seeking an enthusiastic, highly motivated and dedicated Learning Support Assistant to work closely with students aged 11-18 years who have a range of learning difficulties and/or disabilities. The successful candidate will be ideally confident to support student learning experiences according to need; this involves working with the classroom teachers to help students with reading, writing, verbal communication and literacy/numeracy.

It is necessary for the candidate to have qualification in Maths/Numeracy or English/Literacy equivalent to at least NVQ Level 2.
