Community Co-ordinator

Salary: NJC Scale 3, Points 5-6

£19,036 - £19,355 (pro-rata’d from £23,500 – £23,893)

35 hours per week, term time only

We are looking to appoint a committed and experienced administrator who is able to work as part of a team, be adaptable and work on their own initiative as necessary.  You will be confident in being the central communication point for the Voyager Community, its students and parents/carers. 

Excellent ICT, communication and interpersonal skills as well as attention to detail, accuracy and the ability to work in a team are essential along with an understanding of the need to be confidential.

Higher Level Teaching Assistant

Salary: NJC Scale 4/5 Points 7-17 £18,273 - £21,640 (pro rata from £24,294 - £28,770)

32.5 hours per week, term time only

Initial Fixed Term Contract for 1 academic year

 

The successful candidate will be part of our Learning Support team working with students who experience difficulties in accessing the curriculum. 

The objective of this post is to provide support to targeted individual students, small groups and classes during core subject lessons.  The needs of the students will vary; some will have special educational needs such as Dyslexia or ASD.  The successful candidate will generally work with small groups of students, within the main classroom, to ensure students’ progress and to boost their confidence.  The role will involve planning, preparing and delivering group work or team teaching with the main class teacher.  The successful candidate will also be expected to deliver interventions to targeted students focusing on pre and post teaching of set texts, exam skills and vocabulary.

As with all HLTAs the post holder will progress students’ learning and with other professionals to support pupils’ social, emotional and physical wellbeing.  It is necessary for the candidate to have qualifications in Maths/Numeracy or English/Literacy equivalent to at least NVQ Level 2.  The post requires a good standard of education and an attitude which is positive and supportive towards young people.

Attendance Administrative Assistant

Salary: NJC Scale 3, Points 5-6, pro rata to £20,640 - £20,985

37 hours per week, term time plus 5 days working in the school holidays

We seek a highly motivated and hardworking individual to support the improvement of attendance for individual students across Years 7, 8, 9, 10 and 11. The successful candidate will be organised and will have strong levels of literacy and IT skills. They will be responsible for undertaking a series of tasks each day including the preparation of letters and statistical reports and the completion of attendance related referrals to outside agencies. You will work within a small team of staff responsible for attendance and may be required to liaise with families.

The successful candidate will have unlimited optimism, good communication skills, strong levels of literacy, good IT skills and a tenacity to succeed in driving attendance levels upwards in the school.

The post requires a good standard of education but more importantly an attitude which is positive and supportive towards young people and their families.

In return, you will enjoy a unique working environment in the heart of the Weald of Kent. There is an independent nursery based on the school site.
