What to Study
A LEVELS
During an Ofsted inspection, our curriculum was described as the “jewel in the crown” of the school and we hope that you will be similarly impressed by the vast variety of choices that we offer. We pride ourselves on the breadth of opportunities that are available to our Sixth Form students.
LEVEL 3
Alternative to A Levels
Our Level 3 courses offer a wide range of work-related & vocational qualifications. Many have been designed in collaboration with industry and equip you with the skills and knowledge that employers are looking for, using a mixture of theoretical and practical activities.
LEVEL 2
These one year courses offer a pathway for students who wish to progress onto a Level 3 or A Level qualification or onto employment. We offer a mix of GCSE and vocational courses which allow you to choose qualifications that suit your learning style.
LEVEL 1 - Land-Based Studies
Starting in September 2026, the new Plumpton College Academy offers a 3-day (full time) Level 1 Land-Based Studies course delivered by Plumpton College remotely at Homewood
The Level 1 Land-Based Studies course will take elements from animal care, countryside and environment, land and horticulture programmes, offering students an introduction into these study pathways for future Level 2 courses and on to a wealth of career options within the rural land-based sector. A core component of the new course programme is the provision of English and maths delivered by Homewood School for students who have not yet achieved a grade 4 at GCSE.
