Tenterden Schools Trust

Homewood is part of the Tenterden Schools Trust, a multi-academy trust serving families across East Kent.

The Trust was launched in December 2016 to bring together four Tenterden schools:

  • Homewood School & Sixth Form Centre
  • Tenterden Infants School and Tenterden Church of England Junior School (The Tenterden Federation)
  •  St Michael’s Church of England Primary School
  • Home Farm Nursery
  • Rolvenden Primary School joined the Trust in 2019

Securing the future for young people

The Trust’s vision is to provide a genuinely seamless and coherent 0-19 learning experience for the 2,500+ students in its care, whilst preserving the unique and distinctive nature of each individual school community.

Everything learned from that experience goes on to benefit all the students who join Homewood School at age 11, whether or not they have been in one of the Trust’s primary schools.

Working together not just being together

Trust schools work together to plan the learning that children will experience, both in the subjects they study in the classroom and in their wider experiences of school.

The annual TST Community Art Project event is a great example of this, whereby young people from across the Trust work with each other and with local community groups to produce fantastic art work which is displayed around the town of Tenterden each July.
