Online Safety

The Internet, whether accessed from a computer, phone, iPad, or other device, has become embedded within modern family life. It is used to buy and sell goods, online banking, find information and socialising. It can also have a darker side with cybercrime, inappropriate material and illegal activity taking place online effecting both adults and children. Online Safety is concerned with the safeguarding of young people in the digital world and ensuring they feel safe and confident when accessing new technology.

iTunes requires a valid email address to function correctly. Due to this we now provide email accounts for students/parents who have pledged to the eLearning Foundation. Please note that due to the minimum age policy applied to app store accounts, each iTunes account belongs to the parent/carer of the child and not the child.

Examinations at Homewood School and Sixth Form Centre are administered from the Examinations office, M40, in the Mansion. The range of examinations seems to be always expanding to cover the full spectrum of academic and applied qualifications. It is usual for this office to handle around 12,000 entries in the course of a year. The Examinations Office is regularly inspected by the Joint Council for Qualifications and has always received successful reports. This has been the result of close co-operation between this office, staff, students and parents. Please visit this page regularly for important examination updates.
