Online safety is an important part of keeping children safe at Homewood School.
The Christmas term is always a good time to reflect on the year that has passed and look ahead to what is planned for the remainder of this academic year.
As we prepare for the summer holidays, I wanted to update you on some of the achievements of the year and also look ahead to the start of the next academic year.
As you are aware, Homewood School Uniform is compulsory for all students in Years 7-11. We believe that School uniform plays a vital role in contributing to the ethos of the school and in setting an appropriate tone; this is something that is strongly encouraged by The Department of Education.
As part of the school PSHRE curriculum, students participate in, and learn about, a range of topics including Drugs Education.
As the clocks go back and the evenings draw in, we move into the Christmas term – always a busy term with lots of important school events including our 6th form Open Evening and the Christmas activities.
As all our students and staff return to school ready for the new academic year, refreshed from the holiday, there is a sense of excitement and expectation around the school.
This is always a favourite time of year – the clocks go forward and the days start to lengthen, signs of Spring emerge and there is a feeling of optimism in the air.
Here we are in the final couple of weeks of the Christmas Term. Always a very busy term with lots going on so I am writing to update you on a number of matters and to remind you about some important dates coming up.
