Year 11 Subject Choices

Post-16 Choices for students currently in Year 11

At the start of Year 11 the choices process begins once more for students who wish to apply for courses at Homewood and those who wish to apply to colleges, other schools, training programmes and those who wish to enter employment. The process is started well in advance to make sure that all the options are presented to students and to give both students and parents sufficient time to consider the options available.

Part of the Choices process this year for students applying for Homewood will be made on-line through the Kentchoices4u website. Students will be taken into the ICT suites during Advice and Guidance sessions to show them how to use the on-line site. Students will have a letter posted home from the Kent Choices group - please keep this letter safe as it has the individual students unlock code. A student can unlock their user area from home or if there is no internet connection, this can be done in school. Other institutions are using the Kent Choices site this year for applications. Application deadlines are not the same for all institutions and we would advise you check these carefully.

Listed below are all the key dates for students applying to Homewood. Information and contacts will also be available on our school website under KS5 / 6th form.
