Beauty Therapy

Beauty Therapy is offered as an options choice at Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5 in Homewood School.  If completed it is possible to achieve a Diploma in Beauty Services at Level 2, equivalent to four GCSE’s at grade A*- C. Students will spend six hours each week in the Beauty department. Three hours will be practical work covering Manicure, Pedicure, Makeup and Eye treatments. Three hours are dedicated to theory work, covering Anatomy & Physiology (which is the study of the body and its functions) essential to the understanding of the subject.  Our practical salons are designed to be a Realistic Working Environment and Students are expected to give and receive practical treatments in a professional manner. It is essential for each Student to have their own Beauty Tunic to allow them to participate in practical work. At completion of the course Students can progress to a Level 3 qualification in Beauty Therapy either here at Homewood or at a College in the future.
