The Tenterden Schools Trust (TST) has secured a further £2.8 million in the latest round of funding from the Government’s Condition Improvement Fund for Academies, to invest in a new tranche of upgrades for its five schools.

The grants will cover seven major projects at: Homewood School & Sixth Form Centre; Tenterden Junior School, Tenterden Infants School; St Michael’s Primary School and Rolvenden Primary School. These range from heating system replacements, new lighting and the installation of new CCTV systems to a new reception area for St Michael’s.

Some projects may begin as early as August but the majority are likely to begin in the Autumn, with all work planned to be completed by late Spring/early Summer 2022.

“We are delighted to have been awarded further substantial grants in the latest round of Government funding,” said TST CEO Sally Lees, pictured above with CEO-elect Stuart Reeves who joins the Trust in September.

“These grants represent a further major investment at all our sites and underline our commitment to securing the future for the young people in the Trust by providing the very best school environments. It has been an incredibly challenging 16 months for everyone so we are really looking forward to seeing these improvements get underway as a further boost for our school communities.”
